IntelliGene®E.coli CHIP Ver.2.0 is a product which is arrayed and immobilized with DNA fragments of E.coli genes, prepared from Archive Plasmid containing the ORFs derived from E.coli K12W3110 strain, on a slide glass. Approximately 4,150 DNA fragments are arrayed, which cover about 97% of total ORFs. About 300 bp DNA region of each gene, having minimal homology against other genes registered at database, are spotted on this DNA microarray. Also DNA fragments derived from other species such as human TFR are spotted on this product as negative control spots for hybridization. These DNA fragments are arrayed at the colored area on the slide glass figure. The expression of each gene can be simultaneously analyzed through hybridization of the probes which are prepared by using total RNA obtained from E.coli cells as a template. Control spots can be used to determine the background level. Further detailed information about OFR ID, gene name, and description in Array list can be obtained from Escherichia coli WWW HOME PAGE (http://ecoli.aist-nara.ac.jp/).

Detailed gene information for all of IntelliGene® products are available to download as Array list(text file) and GeneID file(text file) for ImaGene software through TaKaRa website.
