Cisbio has developed novel assays for monitoring key
oncology targets including kinases, ubiquitin and
heparanase. Additionally, HTRF reagents are available to
study cell signaling, cell cycle regulation, biomarker
discovery, ligand binding, receptor activation and
induction of second messengers.
In 2006, Cisbio launched HTRF® KinEASE™ a platform for
universal Serine/Threonine kinases. These reagents use a
series of 3 STK substrates and a single Mab and have
been validated on over 100 STKs. Cisbio has expanded the
HTRF® KinEASE™ platform to include a universal Tyrosine
kinase assay which has been validated on 59 TKs.
The universal HTRF® KinEASE™ platform is complemented by
Cisbio's Kinase Toolbox which contains tools such as
labeled anti-phosphoresidue antibodies, for measuring
the activity of specific Serine/Threonine or Tyrosine
kinases.
Kinases are just one area of interest in Oncology
research. Additional Oncology related assays developed
by Cisbio include our Ubiquitin and Heparanase assays.
The ubiquitin assay is based on cryptate-labeled
ubiquitin and has been successfully used for monitoring
the activity of the E1, E2 and E3 enzymes involved in
the ubiquitination process. Cisbio's new heparanase
assay is designed using a proprietary heparan sulfate
substrate and enables the study of extracellular
matrix-degrading heparanase enzymes involved in tumor
metastasis.
