KAPA2G Fast DNA Polymerase is a second-generation enzyme derived through a process of molecular evolution. The KAPA2G Fast DNA Polymerase was engineered for higher processivity and speed, offering significantly faster extension rates and improved PCR success rates than wild-type Taq polymerase. KAPA2G Fast is well suited for both routine and high-throughput PCR, achieving higher yields and improved sensitivity than competitor enzymes across a wide range of amplicon types.

KAPA2G Fast DNA Polymerase and optimized buffer system offers:

KAPA Long Range PCR Kits

Amplify long templates up to 20 kb with extreme sensitivity and increased fidelity.

The KAPA Long Range PCR system is a blend of Taq DNA polymerase and an engineered archaeal (B-family) DNA polymerase possessing proofreading capability. This two-enzyme system is designed specifically to support long range and/or sensitive PCR.

KAPA Long Range DNA Polymerase possesses 3x – 4x higher fidelity than Taq polymerase. The majority of PCR products from a KAPA Long Range HotStart DNA Polymerase reaction have a single deoxyadenosine added to the 3’ ends of the amplicon and can be used for ligation into single 3’-T -overhang cloning sites.

KAPA Blood PCR Kits


Eliminate the need for DNA extraction with the first DNA polymerase evolved for whole blood PCR.

KAPA Blood DNA Polymerase is a second-generation enzyme derived through a process of molecular evolution and the first DNA polymerase engineered specifically for the amplification of DNA directly from whole blood. The enzyme is available in two optimized, easy-to-use 2x PCR mixes, which contain all components required for Whole Blood PCR, except primers and template (blood). Using KAPA Blood PCR Kits, DNA fragments may be amplified directly from reactions containing 1 - 20% (v/v) whole human blood without pretreatment of blood samples or DNA isolation, significantly reducing contamination risk, turnaround time and cost of genetic testing.

KAPA Taq PCR Kits

KAPA Taq DNA Polymerase is based on the single-subunit, wild-type Taq DNA polymerase of the thermophilic bacterium Thermus aquaticus. In the HotStart formulation, the enzyme is combined with a proprietary antibody that inactivates the enzyme until the first denaturation step. This eliminates spurious amplification products resulting from non-specific priming events during reaction setup and initiation, and increases overall reaction efficiency and sensitivity.
